ASSOCIATE
The Tertiary Oil Recovery Project (TORP) at the University of Kansas has an opening for the position of Research Associate. Major responsibilities: planning and conducting research to evaluate the application of polymers and surfactants in improved oil recovery applications, supervising the research activities of graduate students, developing research proposals for externally funded projects, publishing research results.
Required: doctoral degree in petroleum engineering, environmental engineering or a related field at the time of hire, experience of oil/water flow in porous media, experience in conducting laboratory experiments under anaerobic conditions, experience of computer-based data acquisition, documented laboratory skills, excellent written communication skills.
