The World Company has an immediate opening for an Online Editor to lead its flagship website KUsports.com . This is a working-editor position, which is responsible for extending and developing the many facets of our online Jayhawks sports coverage as well as helping to develop plans for online high school sports coverage. This is a coveted opportunity to work with a first-rate sports journalism team covering one of the most storied and successful collegiate athletic programs in the nation.
Successful candidates should be fluent in the possibilities of online- native sports journalism and have demonstrated experience with multimedia sports storytelling, including creating and participating in video stories. A strong work ethic, solid writing skills, a sense of humor, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment; experience with audio, video, image editing software, database content management systems; and HTML/CSS coding are all strongly preferred.
