A Topeka woman was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Sunday after being accidentally shot. Cassie Hedges, a white female, was in the driver's seat of a stationary vehicle at the Kwik Shop at 3440 W. Sixth St. when a passenger in the backseat accidentally discharged a weapon, shooting through the driver's seat and hitting Hedges, Lawrence Police Sgt. Ted Bordman said.
